Interstate 26 E heading toward Asheville, NC

One of the most beautiful roads (a scenic NC byway) coming into Asheville and the 1899 Wright Inn is Highway 23 (Now I-26).

We had just been to Michigan for our annual July two week visit of friends and relatives. After partying and eating our way across the state, we rolled ourselves into the car and headed back to our second home.  Every time we come through these lovely mountains and valley we are struck by the mostly pristine areas.

Also, every time, I take more photos of the same areas because the views are so stunning and it’s like seeing them for the first time all over again!  I share them with you now so you can have some idea of what western North Carolina has to offer you.  It’s not just the special attractions like Biltmore house, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Chimney Rock, etc., it’s just going from here to there that’s equally amazing.

Come visit us at The 1899 Wright Inn bed and breakfast and experience for yourself, the splendor that nature has to offer.
