Blue Ridge Parkway Fall Colors

Hello Blue Ridge Parkway Travelers,

Let the leaf predictions begin. Every year the prognosticators set about trying to predict just how splendid the leaf color will be in the mountains. Amount of rainfall, temperature, cold snaps,& elevations are all taken into consideration to figure out when the leaves will be at their peak and how vivid the colors will be. Everyone has their own opinion.

Having lived in Michigan my whole life I have seen spectacular “Fall Colors”, but it wasn’t until I moved to AshevilleNC and bought this beautiful Bed and Breakfast, that I realized just how tremendous a show the leaves put on here in the mountains.

My favorite quote comes from Kathy Matthews, an associate professor at Western Carolina University. “This years’ leaf season will be the most spectacular display of leaf color in generations, an exhibition of hues not seen since Van Gogh exhausted his color palette trying to capture a WNC autumn in the late1800′s, an experience so moving he chopped off an ear in ecstasy.”

Come see for yourself,
