A Historical Tour Group visits the O.B. Wright HousePosted by wrightinn_bob on December 6, 2013
Eighteen folks from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, came to visit the 1899 Wright Inn and Carriage House on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, as part of their architectural tour of the area.
Linda Orowitz brought her group of lifelong learners to tour the inside of the inn to learn about the architect and the Wright Family who had the house built. They were interested in the history, the antiques, the wood, fireplaces and Bradbury and Bradbury ceiling. After my presentation, they delighted me with a myriad of questions.
All were local people and many had passed by the outside of the inn many times and were excited to be invited inside.
The second class comes by on the 7th of November and we truly look forward to their visit.
